Some content has been translated to French and Spanish and a search engine has been added to the site.
New improvements have been posted to the IeDEA website. In this latest round, you will notice:
- Translated content has been posted in Spanish and French for several pages on the website:
- Project Overview
- Sponsors
- Coordinating Center
- Privacy Policy
- Accessibility
- Please notice that the page footer has also been translated. - A search engine has been added to the site. You can use the search box to locate any content on the site, including documents, news, links, static text, etc.
The search engine will go as far as looking for keyword matches inside the content of documents on the website. For example, if the body of a MS Word or PDF document on the website includes the keyword you searched for, then that document will be included in the search results.
Given the new content on the site in French and Spanish, the search engine also allows you to search for words in those languages. Please keep in mind a minor limitation. For English content, the search engine is capable of doing "steming", meaning that if you search for "patients" it may return a result that includes the word "patient", or if you search for "working" it may return results with the word "work" in it. In other words, it searches for variations of a word. This is not the case for French and Spanish. The search is literal for these languages, meaning only exact maches are returned.
Lastly, the search engine is aware of security-sensitive content and will not display members-only content to public users searching the website.
Please don't hesitate to contact admin@iedea-hiv.org if you have any questions or comments regarding these new improvements
